Santa Lucia Highlands

Santa Lucia Highlands AVA

The Santa Lucia Highlands is shaped by persistent coastal fog and afternoon winds that create one of California’s longest growing seasons. This extended ripening builds depth, aromatic intensity, and generous fruit in the wines, while preserving the natural acidity that keeps the wines vibrant and balanced and particularly well suited to Pinot Noir.

A "Santa Lucia Highlands" designation on a label is about as close to a guarantee of quality as one is likely to find for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and, increasingly, Syrah from the United States.
