We gathered at the Passion 4 Pinot event in Palm Springs to mark a milestone: the 30th anniversary of the planting of Garys’ Vineyard.
What began as a simple handshake between Gary Franscioni and his longtime friend Gary Pisoni grew into one of the most important vineyard partnerships in the Santa Lucia Highlands. From the outset, Garys’ Vineyard helped define the region’s potential, becoming the source of benchmark wines for generations of winemakers.
Below, listen in on a seminar featuring the two Garys, joined by their sons Nick Franscioni and Mark Pisoni, along with winemakers who have worked with Garys’ Vineyard fruit over the years. The panel includes voices from Bernardus Winery, Capiaux Cellars, Clarice Wine Company, Kosta Browne, Miner Family Wines, Rombauer Vineyards, and Siduri Wines.
Together, they reflect on the vineyard’s early days, its evolution over three decades, and what continues to make Garys’ Vineyard such a singular place to farm and make wine.
